THE outrageous ACT (My blood)
Season 1 – Episode 8
Henry and Amanda had feelings to each other but their Character took over them. They were still laughing and having what they called romantic picnic under the tree when Raymond appeared with Marvelous holding their hands together. Amanda and Henry were surprised to see both of them in such a position.
“Hi, guys” Raymond said. “It seems like you two are having a nice time”
“We should be telling you that” Henry said smiling.
Amanda looked at Marvelous and asked, “Come, baby girl, what’s going on?” she stood up. “Well, you will gist me later” she concluded.
Marvelous smiled because she knew her ways of life. She looked at Raymond and said, “I have to be going now, take care of yourself”
“Alright, you too” they both smiled at each other and released their hands.
Henry waved at Amanda giving her a romantic eyes and smile.
“Bye” she replied and waved back at him. She departed with Marvelous.
Cheatmaster finally went to Kenneth’s house. He couldn’t wait to experience the last part of his curiosity as he waited for him to make a move.
“I can see you are very serious about this issue” Kenneth told him.
“Yes, just tell me what to do with this money” he brought out the five thousand naira and placed it on the table before them.
Kenneth glanced at his wrist watch; 5:15pm. “Go home and come back by 10pm” he said.
“10pm? Why that late time of the night?” Cheatmaster wondered.
“You will meet me here if you really want to make money” Kenneth replied with boldness and a bright opened eyes.
Cheatmaster was beginning to sense illegality on the type of business he was associating himself into. Therefore, he thought for a while looking at Kenneth. “I will see you by that time” he concluded and stood up.
“Is okay then, i will be waiting” Kenneth also stood up and they shook hands in different styles like men, even someone outside could hear the sound of their fingers as they withdrew them flipping them together.
6:45pm
Marvelous came back home with the joy of her new found spouse. In her hands were books she arranged according to their height. She saw his brother sitting on the cushion lust in thought with his face up.
“Bro Cheatmaster” she called but didn’t get a respond. She called again and touched him before cheat realised himself.
“What are you thinking?! I have been standing here calling you. What’s the problem?”
“Nothing, i was just thinking of my..” he paused.
“Of your unemployment?” she asked.
“Yes, exactly”
Marvelous kept her books and sat beside him with her hands on his shoulder. “Never to worry, my prayers are not in vain. You will one day receive alert from any of the companies you have submitted application letter to”
“Amen” cheat replied and forced out a smile.
Suddenly the mother came in. “Is he thinking again?” she asked.
“I’m not thinking anything, mother” Cheatmaster replied and went into his room.
“I have told you to take life easy..”
Marvelous interrupted her by grabbing the bag she was holding and they entered into the kitchen.
The day was dark. Nancy slept off on her reading table with her face down on it. She suddenly woke up breathing heavily. She glanced at her clock; 9:30pm. Then she quickly grabbed her phone to call Cheatmaster.
Meanwhile, Cheatmaster was preparing to meet Kenneth when he knew fully well that any night moving, especially for money must be a dangerous movement. His phone ran as he was bucklling his shirt, then he picked it.
“Where are you?!” Nancy asked in a hash voice.
“Calm down, I’m at home. What’s the problem?”
“Cheatmaster please, make sure you don’t go out tonight. I had a nightmare few minutes ago”
“A nightmare?”
“I saw you bleeding all over your body” she began to cry. “Please, promise me you won’t go anywhere tonight or even tomorrow” she begged in tears.
Cheatmaster inhaled heavily in silence.
Nancy knew his quietness shows that he planned to go somewhere. Therefore, she stood up and begged the most.
“Alright, i won’t go anywhere. Stop crying, it’s just a mere dream” Cheatmaster said and collapsed on the bed. Then the line went dead.
