Episode 2
Precious was still waiting for Cynthia to respond to her
question. “Please, answer me, who is the boy in the
sittingroom?” she asked again anxiously.
“I don’t know him” Cynthia replied without looking at her.
“A boy is in your parlour sitting comfortably watching
television and you said you don’t know him?”
“He’s waiting for my father.. My father sent him”
“Really?” Precious moved closer to her. She could see
Cynthia adding rice inside a pot. “He’s so handsome, can i
make a move?” she smiled.
Cynthia looked at her and said, “Are you ok? What about
Peter?”
“Forget about Peter, he’s angry at me for not visiting him
yesterday”
“Then try to make up with him rather than making another
man fall inlove with you” Cynthia brought out more items
from the back with her ears opened to what Precious had to
say.
“It doesn’t matter” Precious replied.
“It matters. Now i know why men date and breakup with
you”
“Hey don’t even insult me..” she flung her hands in the air
and moved closer to the pot. “What are you cooking?” she
asked.
“Rice”
“This is another reason why i won’t be going very soon”
“What’s the other reason?” Cynthia asked.
“The handsome guy in the building” Precious replied.
Cynthia smiled without saying anything.
Precious walking majestically out of the kitchen.
“Where are you going?” Cynthia asked but didn’t get a reply.
David was still waiting and watching the movie patiently with
his legs crossed when Precious came and sat on another
cushion. He looked at her in the leggings and gown she
wore and concentrated on the television. However, Cynthia
was in the kitchen imagining what may happen in the
parlour with Precious and a boy in it. She smiled.
Precious occasionally stare at David and sometimes caught
sight together with him. David, as a guy, needed to make the
parlour lively. He looked at Precious and said, “What’s your
name?”
“I’m Precious”
They became quiet with their eyes fixed on the television.
“Do you like the film?” Precious asked looking at him.
“Not really” he replied.
Precious left her seat to his seat insearch of the remote. To
David’s surprise, she sat beside him.
“Do you mind? I want to change the channel” Precious said.
“No problem” he replied.
She changed to a channel which was broadcasting a
romantic movie. It got to a part where a man and a woman
began to kiss each other and she removed it immediately.
“Why did you remove it?” David asked.
“Do you like it?” she asked looking at him. David also looked
at her and both stared at each other.
Cynthia came out and found them in that position.
“Precious!” she called.
“Yes?” Precious looked behind to see her.
“Come and help me in the kitchen”
Precious left the seat looking at David who seem
uninterested to her or what they were saying.
Suddenly, Mr Basi, the father of Cynthia arrived with a file in
his hands.

Meanwhile, Cynthia was in the kitchen with precious.
“What do you think you are doing with a stranger?” Cynthia
asked.
“Nothing”
“Hmm.. Easy oh”
Cynthia heard her father’s voice. She went out to welcome
him. David kept staring at her admiring her beauty which
Cynthia noticed.
“Welcome dad” she greeted.
“I hope you are preparing something”
“Yes” she went back to the kitchen.
The day was getting dark and Precious decided to go and
Cynthia followed her. Precious turned to admire David once
again when she got to the door while David was serious
with Mr Basi.
15min LATER
David was through with Mr Basi. He flung the door open and
went out. Cynthia met him at the gate and both looked at
each other.
“I’m going now” David said.
“Okay, good night” Cynthia kept moving. She entered into the
parlour and found David’s phone on the cushion, then she
picked it and ran out.
David also noticed the absence of his phone and he began
to go back and they met on the way.
“You forgot your phone” Cynthia stretched her hand.
“Yes, thank you so much” he said.
“Welcome” She began to walk but interrupted by David who
called her. Then she stopped. David moved closer and said,
“You are good and pretty”
“Thank u” Cynthia replied and both stared at each other.
“Okay, bye” Cynthia said and began to walk again..The trinity (My heart)
