Final Episode (Episode 17)
David was awake to see his father wondering where Mrs
Anthony, his wife had gone to.
“Good morning, Daddy” he greeted.
“Morning, son. How are you feelings?”
“I’m feeling better, father”
“I’m so happy to hear that. Just name anything you want
and i will do it, in as much as you stand up from this sick
bed”
“You will do anything, Father?”
“Yes, i will do anything”
“Promise, dad”
“I promise, son”
Suddenly, Mrs Anthony, Mr Basi and Cynthia walked inside
the room. Mr Basi stood at the entrance of the door with his
two hands on his staff that he placed before him with his
eyes fixed on the ceiling. While Cynthia rushed David
instantly with happiness. “Thank God you are getting better”
she touched his hair.
Mrs Anthony stood at a far distance from her husband and
watched him looked confused. Mr Anthony glanced at Mr
Basi and his wife and then looked at David who was busy
touching Cynthia’s face smiling.
David turned to his father, “Father, you promised to do
anything i say. Now, you will fulfil your promise. I beg you to
make peace with Mr Basi. Please, daddy”
“Please, Sir Anthony, make peace with my father” Cynthia
supported.
“Please, my husband” Mrs Anthony said beating her two
palms gently with a piteous face.
Mr Anthony exhaled deeply and looked at Mr Basi whose
face was still fixed on the ceiling. He gradually moved
towards him and they looked at each other and hugged.
Cynthia smiled in tears, likewise Mrs Anthony.
“I’m sorry for everything” Mr Anthony told Mr Basi.
“I’m sorry too” he replied and they shook hands like elders.
THE NEXT DAY
Cynthia went to Precious’s house and told her everything
that happened the previous day, then Precious was amazed.
“You mean they have finally made peace?” she asked.
“Yes, and tomorrow we are going to Sir Anthony’s house for
dinner invitation”
“Wow!” Precious exclaimed.
Suddenly, Peter entered and Precious changed her face.
“What are you doing here again?” she asked.
“Please, you need to forgive me. I beg you and i miss you..”
Precious looked at Cynthia who gave her a sign to forgive
him.
Precious stood up and walked closer to Peter. “Is okay, i
miss you too” she sad and hugged him. Then Cynthia
smiled.
THE NEXT DAY
As Precious was in Peter’s resident having a cool time with
him, so as Cynthia and her father were in Mr Anthony’s
resident having a chilling time. There was a long table with
plates of foods, each for a person. Mr and Mrs Anthony sat
opposite each other, Cynthia and David sat beside each
other and Mr Basi sat alone facing Cynthia and David and
they began to eat after praying.
“So, son, after graduating this year, what will be the next
plan?” Mr Anthony asked David.
“Of course to get a job, father” he replied.
“And after that?”
David looked at Cynthia. “After i settle down, then i will get
my heart closer to me”
“Who is your heart?” Mrs Anthony asked.
“Of course Cynthia is my heart” David replied and all
laughed.
Mr Anthony looked at Mr Basi. “So, what do you say about
that?” he asked.
“As long as they will be happy, I’m okay with that” Mr Basi
replied and glanced at his daughter who was already
smiling. Hey all laughed again.
