STORY: THE TRINITY PART 9

THE TRINITY (My heart)
Episode 9
Peter was disappointed as he watched Cynthia walked away without giving him her number. “I will get you” he smiled bitterly and also walked away.
Meanwhile, Christabel was on her to David’s house. She watched all the houses behave as if they were moving but weren’t as she sat in a lonely taxi. She was a wise and intelligent girl with a chocolate complexion. On her cheeks were dimples which made her more beautiful. She stopped at the nearest destination which wasn’t far from David’s house.
On the other hand, David stood outside their house waiting to see Christabel in her classic dressing because she always dressed like that. His heart began to beat faster because he knew trouble was on the way coming. “I will breakup with her if she comes” he thought andscratched his hair. He knew that it wouldn’t be easy and Christabel wouldn’t take likely. Suddenly, Christabel matched forward in a high heel shoe and dangling hair. David hugged her.
“Good evening” she greeted.
“Welcome” David replied and they began to enter into the house..
On the other hand, Cynthia was alone in her room wishing she never met Peter that evening. “I guess i did the right thing by not giving him my number” she thought. Her thought was diverted to David. “I have not seen him or hear from him” she picked up her phone to call.
Meanwhile, David was in the sittingroom with Christabel trying to introduce her to his mother when he’s phone rang. Christabel watched him brought out the phone and placed it on his ear.
“Hello, good evening” Cynthia greeted.
“Evening. How do you do?”
“I’m fine, just that I’m missing you”
David glanced at Christabel who was sitting beside looking at him. “And me too” he replied.
“David, my father…”
“I will call you later” David interrupted her and hanged up.
“Who was that?” Christabel asked looking at him.
“That was my friend” He replied boldly.
In as much as Christabel didn’t want to push on with questions, Mrs Anthony came out from the room, she sat down and
David made an introduction. Christabel was not to go back on that same day, therefore, David took her to his room.
Cynthia wondered why David would just hang up the call in a hurry. “I guess he’s busy” she thought and waited for his call but David never called back throughout that day due to Christabel wouldn’t allow him.
“I came to spend time with you so i wouldn’t want anybody to distract us” she had told David.
“Yes, i know” David had replied and concluded that it wasn’t the right time to break her heart. Therefore, he played along.
THE NEXT DAY
After Christabel was gone, David quickly picked up his phone and called Cynthia.
“You promise to call me but you never did!” Cynthia exclaimed.
“Please, am sorry. I want to see you” David pleaded.
Cynthia waited for a while. “You can come over to my house” she said in a low voice.
“What of your dad?”
“He’s not around”
“Okay”
The line went dead.
Before David could get to Cynthia’s house, Mr Basi came back and went into his room without Cynthia’s knowledge. After a minute, David arrived and began to knock at the door. Cynthia came and opened the door for him. “Come in” she said and
David stepped inside. Suddenly, Mr Basi came out from his room with only a singlet and a shortnicker. “What are you doing here?” she asked in a deep voice.
“Good evening sir” David greeted humbly.
“I said what are you doing here?!” he drew closer.
“Daddy, he’s my guest” Cynthia replied.
“Now, i want you to get out of here!” he commanded. “I said get out!!” he shrieked.
“Daddy, you can’t chase him away, he’s my guest” Cynthia said.
Meanwhile, David had gradually left the house.
“You must be very stupid! Now get inside your room!” Mr Basi shouted at his daughter and she angrily went inside her room and began to cry.
“I warned you not to do anything with Anthony’s family! I will make sure i deal with you next time i see such a thing!”
Cynthia sat at her door with her back on it crying bitterly wishing to see her mother alive.
David went home humiliated and disappointed…
